At Advance Metal Products, quality assurance is not just a final inspection of the product, it is a strict set of standards, procedures and protocols that are implemented at every stage throughout production.

Quality Assurance

We work with our customers, from the initial sales consultation through to production of a prototype and finally the finished product.

Our Quality Assurance team ensures that, at every stage of production, the components are correct to their specified requirements. Using digital measuring and logging equipment, our team can monitor entire production runs to ensure every component conforms to requirements.

The strategic layout of our factory and its various component manufacturing stages facilitates the production process, allowing us to set new standards in sheetmetal manufacturing.

From material to process specification, we evaluate our clients’ products and make recommendations for the most cost-effective method of production.

We employ data transfer automation using bar code scanning for inventory control transactions, BOM information, material selection, CNC program identification, process sequence and detailed processing procedures/tasks. We also use Electronic transfer of Design and specification data from customers. Our Availability of QA/QC and management system policies and procedures are available online for easy accessibility and error-free version control. Live planning and scheduling data is used to manage and schedule resources allowing dynamic control of manufacturing output. Accurate production information provides feedback to all company departments and end customers.

Our commitment to the ongoing education, training and devlopment of our Human Resources ensures high process capability is achieved. This programme of training, technical and continual improvement is recognised in our quality accreditation to ISO 9001. Total Quality Management and Just In Time are always followed.

Fabrivision

 

The Fabrivision scanner is used to compare produced components against their specified dimensions (on the originally supplied drawings). It can determine the dimensions of a component to ±0.01mm.

Whether it is a low or high volume run, customers are guaranteed every component will meet their quality standard.

We work with our customers to provide the full solution to their requirements, from design, product approval and manufacture to just-in-time delivery.

Advance Metal Products Engineering Department provides in-house 3D modelling capability using SolidWorks.

We can provide value-add expertise for design review / value engineering. If necessary, products can be totally developed by Advance Metal Products.

Our 3D modelling capability allows effective design communication through:

  • Design collaboration – design intent is clearly communicated.
  • Electronic data exchange – no manual data entry.
  • Virtual assembly – part fit and function is fully developed and tested prior to any manufacture.
  • Virtual processing - component geometry is developed prior to manufacture.

We use and prefer native SolidWorks file formats but are able to open and work with the following file types:

CNC programming software allows automated program creation, data transfer, and machine set-up as well as maximising product yield.

Advance Metal Products uses real-time job tracking through barcodes. The system schedules our entire production.

Every job released to production is assigned a unique number and bar code. This allows the staff at Advance Metal Products to track every job and/or component through the production process.
